At Leeds Bike Mill we love to see all ages out enjoying themselves on bikes.  We could go on all day about how great it is for children and adults alike to experience the fun and freedom of being on two wheels.

That’s why we offer a family bike mechanics course. We want to invite parents and children (age 8 and upwards) to learn together, and gain the skills to keep the whole family’s bikes on the road.

During the 3 hour course, you will work on your child’s bike – performing basic adjustments to brakes and gears, as well as puncture repair and bike fit – all under the supervision of a qualified mechanic. If you are interested but do not currently have a bike please email us to enquire about the children’s bikes we currently have in stock.

Family Mechanics Course

We run these courses during the school holidays, according to demand.  If you would like to participate please fill out this register of interest.  We need between 6 and 8 participants to run a course so tell your friends too!

The course costs £20 per pair (adult and child), and £10 for each additional child attending.

Accessibility: Our usual teaching space and the toilets are on the first floor, accessed by one flight of stairs with a handrail. However there is the option of booking a ground floor teaching space – please email before booking if this is required.
